Photographer and writer. I lived in Madagascar for two and a half years as a Peace Corps volunteer, then stayed on to report environmental stories there.

Most of my work starts with a place and the people making a living from it, and takes a while — the charcoal reporting in Mikea Forest was months of walking the same routes as the men cutting the wood.
